We believe that adding a four-legged member to your family is a milestone that deserves care, transparency, and a little bit of excitement. At Brittany Puppies for Adoption, our goal isn’t just to “sell” a puppy. It’s to facilitate a perfect match. Because we work with families across the United States and Canada, we’ve streamlined our process to be as smooth as possible, no matter where you call home.
PICKUP Adoption Process
Picking up your puppy in person is a wonderful bonding experience, allowing you to meet us, see your puppy’s environment, and take your new family member home confidently. You’re welcome come meet us anytime to see them.
Step 1 — Reserve Your Puppy
A deposit is required to hold your chosen puppy.
Once received, your puppy is marked “Reserved,” and you will receive your contract for signature.
Step 2 — Receive Your Contract
You will be emailed a Sales & Ownership Transfer Agreement outlining:
✔ Your puppy’s registered identity
✔ Our health guarantee
✔ Terms of sale
✔ Transfer of ownership to your name
This document legally secures your puppy in your name.
Step 3 — Schedule Your Pickup
We will coordinate a convenient pickup date when your puppy reaches safe going-home age.
- Balance is paid in cash upon pickup.
This ensures simple, secure transaction finalization, building trust on both ends.
Step 4 — Go Home Day
On pickup day, you will receive:

We will take a snapshot for records and your family album.

Waitlist Adoption Process
Step 1: The Initial Application
Every great relationship starts with a conversation. The first step is to fill out our Puppy Application. This isn’t a “test”, it’s simply a way for me, Cooper, to understand your lifestyle, your experience with active breeds, and what you’re looking for in a companion.
What we look for: We love to see active households, a plan for exercise, and a commitment to positive reinforcement training.
Step 2: The Personal Consultation
Once I’ve reviewed your application, we’ll schedule a time to chat. Whether you’re in California, Texas, Ontario, or Nova Scotia, a phone or video call helps us connect. This is your time to ask me anything. About the parents, our health testing, or what life with a Brittany is really like.
Step 3: Placing Your Deposit

Transparent Pricing & Documentation: All deposits are accompanied by a clear agreement that outlines our health guarantees and what you can expect from us as your breeder.
Step 4: The "Matchmaking" Phase
This is where the magic happens. Around the 6-to-7-week mark, we start evaluating the temperaments of the puppies.
Personality Over Patterns: While we know you might have a color preference, we prioritize matching a puppy’s energy level with your family’s lifestyle.
Updates Along the Way: You’ll receive photos and videos as the puppies grow, so you can watch your future best friend develop their unique personality.
Step 5: Homecoming Day (USA & Canada)
Whether you are driving to pick up your puppy or we are coordinating safe transport, we make “Gotcha Day” special.
Safe Transport Across North America
If you aren’t within driving distance, don’t worry. We have extensive experience coordinating safe travel for our puppies within the United States and Canada. We ensure all puppies have the necessary health certificates and travel documents to cross borders or board flights comfortably.
Your Puppy Starter Kit
Every puppy goes home with:
Health Records: Proof of vaccinations and microchip info.
A Scent Blanket: Something that smells like mom and littermates to ease the transition.
A Lifetime Connection: You’ll have my direct contact info for any questions that pop up during those first few nights.
DELIVERY Adoption Process
If travel is difficult or you live out of state, we offer safe, reliable ground or flight delivery nationwide in the US and Canada.
Step 1: Reserve Your Puppy
A deposit secures your puppy and allows us to begin arrangements.
Step 2: Receive Your Contract
You will receive a signed Contract of Sale, containing:
✔ Puppy registration identification
✔ Ownership transfer rights
✔ Delivery terms and health coverage
Once signed, your puppy is officially marked under your ownership.
Step 3: Shipping Coordination
We schedule transport with trusted handlers who specialize in pets.
Our puppies travel by air with a dedicated flight nanny who stays right beside them in the cabin from takeoff to landing. This guarantees a safe, calm, and comfortable trip for your new baby. When the flight arrives, you can choose to meet the nanny at your closest airport, or have the puppy brought directly to your home, whichever option is more convenient for you.
We will update you with:
✔ Delivery date
✔ Transport contact details
✔ Check-in updates during trave
Step 4 — Final Payment
📌 Balance of payment is completed upon delivery.
Once the puppy arrives safely, payment is finalized and you officially take possession.
Delivery provides flexibility and brings your new family member straight into your arms, stress free.
WAITLIST Adoption Process
Our litters often sell quickly, so the Waitlist option guarantees first opportunity to choose from upcoming puppies before public release.
Step 1 — Join the Waitlist
A deposit is required to secure your position and preferred gender/color (if available).
Step 2 — Priority Notification
When a new litter arrives, waitlist families are notified first, in order of deposit placement.
You will receive photos, videos, selection options, and temperament updates.
Step 3 — Contract & Registration
Once you confirm your puppy choice:
✔ Your contract is sent
✔ Puppy identity is assigned to your name
✔ Ownership transfer is documented in writing
Step 4 — Final Payment
Balance is paid when puppies reach go-home age and are ready for pickup or delivery.
Waitlist ensures you never miss the puppy you want — especially rare colors or long-coat varieties.
Why a Deposit is Required
Your deposit:

✔ Allows us to begin veterinary care, feeding, supplies, and transition prep
✔ Guarantees seriousness on both sides

We do not hold puppies without deposits. This prevents double-booking and protects our litters.
